Job Description

The purpose of this role is to drive the company s revenue growth by developing and executing effective sales strategies responsible for overseeing the sales team managing key client relationships and identifying new business opportunities. The focus is on building longterm partnerships expanding market share and ensuring the companys services meet customer demands

Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy and Growth:

  • KRA: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive business growth and market expansion.
  • KPIS:
  • Revenue growth: Achieve an annual revenue growth of 1520%.
  • New business acquisition: Secure 510 new clients per quarter.
  • Market share: Increase market share by 10% in key logistics sectors.
Client Relationship Management:
  • KRA: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • KPIS:
  • Customer retention rate: Maintain a client retention rate of 90% or higher.
  • Client satisfaction score: Achieve a customer satisfaction score of 85% or higher in feedback surveys.
  • Repeat business: Ensure 70% of clients provide repeat business annually.
Business Development and Expansion:
  • KRA: Identify new business opportunities expand into new markets and increase service offerings.
  • KPIS:
  • New market penetration: Enter 12 new geographic or industry markets annually.
  • Additional service offerings: Introduce at least 2 new logistics services (e.g. freight forwarding warehousing) each year.
  • Increase in service mix: Achieve a 20% increase in crossselling additional services to existing clients.
Team Leadership and Management:
  • KRA: Lead mentor and develop the sales team to achieve individual and collective sales targets.
  • KPIS:
  • Sales team performance: Ensure 90% of sales team members meet or exceed their quarterly targets.
  • Training and development: Provide 2 training sessions per quarter for skill development.
  • Employee satisfaction: Achieve a sales team satisfaction score of 80% or higher in internal surveys.
Sales Forecasting and Reporting:
  • KRA: Provide accurate sales forecasts and reports to support strategic decisionmaking.
  • KPIS:
  • Forecast accuracy: Achieve 95% accuracy in quarterly sales forecasts.
  • Timeliness of reporting: Deliver weekly sales performance reports to senior management 100% on time.
  • Pipeline health: Maintain a healthy sales pipeline with a minimum of 3x the quarterly sales target in opportunities.
Collaboration with Operations and Marketing:
  • KRA: Collaborate with operations and marketing to ensure seamless service delivery and alignment between sales and company capabilities.
  • KPIS:
  • Alignment of sales and operations: Achieve 100% alignment between sales commitments and operational capabilities.
  • Sales and marketing synergy: Ensure that all marketing campaigns generate at least 30% qualified leads for the sales team.
  • Service delivery: Ensure 98% ontime delivery for all customer orders. Ensure our cost of delivery are competitive while ensuring profit






Requirements


  • Bachelor s degree in Business Administration Marketing Logistics Supply Chain Management or a related field.
  • Minimum of 67 years of experience in logistics freight forwarding or a related sales role.
  • Proven track record in sales preferably within the logistics or transportation industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in sales within the logistics industry is nonnegotiable.
  • Strong negotiation presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Ability to generate sales leads.
  • Strong understanding of logistics services (e.g. freight warehousing supply chain).
  • Proficient in using CRM software and MS Office (Word Excel PowerPoint).
