THE ROLE: Level 1 Network Engineer
INNOVATE continues to grow by adding ambitious talented people to the team and has an excellent opportunity for a Level 1 Network Engineer.
This role would suit a new entry into the ICT industry with up to 2 years experience. A Driving Licence is required.
WHAT IS THE JOB
To work within the Professional Service team as a Level 1 Network Engineer and deal with live client queries on a daily basis. As the candidate gains more experience the level of issues they are given will increase in complexity ensuring that the experience is engaging throughout.
Typical duties include:
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with the projects team to ensure seamless network installation and integration for clients.
- Conduct onsite visits for client installations maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills while interacting with clients during site visits.
- Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations and changes.
- Work closely with crossfunctional teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to escalate and resolve complex issues.
- Deliver excellent customer service ensuring client satisfaction.
- Communicate effectively with clients understanding their technical needs and requirements.
WHAT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS ARE NEEDED:
Technical:
- Demonstrable interest in Networking and Technology.
- 3rd Level Qualification in a Technical Discipline is an advantage.
- Relevant Networking certifications
Behavioural:
The Level 1 Network Engineer role requires the following set of behavioural competencies:

- Ability to learn new networking technologies quickly.
- Good problemsolving skills.
- Have experience working under pressure.
- Be professional polite courteous and clear when dealing with customers via telephone and email.
