You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailAs a Commis III, you will assist in the smooth running of the employee cafeteria kitchen by preparation and cooking of the required food items to a high standard, and maintaining hygiene practices.
Guest Service & Interaction:
Greet guests promptly and warmly as they arrive, offering assistance with seating and menu guidance.
Take food and beverage orders, accurately relay requests to the kitchen or bar, and serve food and drinks to guests efficiently.
Anticipate guest needs and respond to special requests, ensuring all interactions are courteous, professional, and friendly.
Assist guests with menu recommendations, taking into account any dietary requirements or special preferences.
Ensure guests are satisfied throughout their dining experience by checking in regularly and addressing any concerns or issues promptly.
Food & Beverage Service:
Serve food and drinks in a timely and professional manner, ensuring that all orders are accurate and presented according to restaurant standards.
Ensure food and beverages are served at the correct temperature and quality.
Assist in setting up and clearing tables, resetting for new guests, and maintaining an organized dining area.
Refill drinks, provide additional condiments, and respond to any guest requests in a proactive and timely manner.
Cleaning & Maintenance:
Maintain cleanliness of restaurant tables, chairs, floors, and dining areas throughout service, ensuring a hygienic environment for guests.
Assist in clearing used plates, glasses, and utensils from tables, ensuring a quick and efficient table turnover.
Ensure that the restaurant’s front-of-house areas, such as the lobby, waiting area, and restroom facilities, are kept clean and orderly.
Follow health and safety guidelines and cleaning protocols to ensure the restaurant complies with local food safety regulations.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with kitchen staff, servers, and management to ensure smooth operations and a positive guest experience.
Assist in maintaining communication between the front and back of house, ensuring orders are processed and delivered without delay.
Provide support during busy periods, including helping to serve food, clearing tables, or managing guest seating.
Excellent food preparation skills.
You will be an innovative and creative person.
You 1 year experience working in the kitchens of 4 or 5 star hotel properties.
Preferably HACCP qualified.
Previous experience in food and beverage service or a customer service role (preferred).
Basic knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation protocols (preferred).
Experience using POS (point-of-sale) systems or cash registers (preferred).
Skills:
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner.
Strong customer service skills, with the ability to anticipate guest needs and respond quickly to requests.
Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks, and handle guest inquiries efficiently.
Basic math skills to handle cash and process guest payments accurately.
Team-oriented, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to a positive work environment.
Ability to stay calm and positive under pressure, especially during peak service hours.
