Job Description
Working hours: Mon to Fri 8:30am to 6pm
Position Summary
This position is responsible for physical and technical tasks related to Data Center Infrastructure equipment.
Primary Responsibilities
Perform physical and technical tasks of intermediate & escalated complexity on Data Center infrastructure equipment including but not limited to servers infrastructure network infrastructure or other equipment on the DC floor without immediate supervision.
Work alongside Technicians in installing troubleshooting and maintaining servers networking equipment and cabling (requires moving and racking equipment)
Fix broken servers (replace hard drives replace bad sticks of RAM etc.).
Use hardware/software tools and workflows (automation) in support of these tasks.
Strictly follow all policies processes and procedures related to the activities and data center environment.
Perform maintenance on a timely basis with adequate recordkeeping.
Maintain equipment in running order with minimal downtime.
Ensure a safe working environment and perform maintenance in a safe manner.
Requirements
NITEC in IT or technical based qualifications.
Familiar and comfortable using and working with IT equipment and software.
Experience in repair of electronics components of computers.
Scissor lift license would be an added advantage.
