Job Description
HM Note: This hybrid role is three (3) days in office and candidate can work in Guelph or GTA office
Descriptions:
To provide professional application architecture expertise and undertake comprehensive architecture needs assessments and complex reviews in support of systems/infrastructure needs for OPS clients (i.e. LRC I and amp;IT clusters OMAFA and enterprise I and amp;IT organization) as it pertains to the OASIS project.

Collaborate with the project team consisting of business architect information architect project manager business analysts development team business subject matter experts business stakeholders and other related roles to develop the AGP 1 and AGP 2 architecture artefacts. Ensure the AGP 1 and AGP 2 artefacts are reviewed and feedback from the LRC Enterprise Architecture team and Corporate Enterprise Architecture Review Board incorporated.

Develop EA Solution Architecture documentation as identified for OASIS AGP 0 (EA Statement of Work) that is in alignment with Business Architecture future state models and to support development build of the OASIS solution for a modernized Pedology and Agronomy business model.
Responsibilities:
- Review business needs and requirements and business architecture information to analyze design and develop application architecture outputs and artefacts (e.g. Solutions Architecture Document Solution Requirements Document and Information Architecture Document) and related documentation as required by Cluster and Corporate ARB for AGP 1 and AGP 2.
- Ensures application artefacts developed are:
- Aligned with the OPS Enterprise Information Architecture (EIA) Federated Framework.
- In compliance with governmentwide and ministry guidelines policies directives and standards.
- Integrated with related corporate and client policies and standards and incorporation of best practices in the industry.
- Creates and updates application architecture artefacts by collaborating with Cluster Architects by incorporating their review feedback as applicable.
- Undertakes and/or leads indepth and complex applications architecture development and/or support projects deliverables to support new and changed enterprise priorities and initiatives and client clusters and their clients applications architecture and/or business needs.
- Provide leadership indepth technical knowledge expertise and advice:
- Leads and or/participates in highly sensitive applications architecture investigations.
- Act as the Teams technical expert provide strategic advice in the development of data pipelines data lakes data warehouses and application architectures.
- Acts as the lead technical authority on the program and is responsible for planning all activities leading to the development of the overall solution architecture.

Enterprise Architecture Engagement Leadership Experience
- Total IT experience of at least 10 years out of which 5 years doing solution architecture on large complex projects.
- Solid experience across a variety of technologies and design approaches (e.g. Java/JEE frameworks GIS Enterprise tools APIs Data Marts Data Lakes Vendor packaged and/or hosted solutions Workflow Management Business Intelligence Machine Learning Data Science Workflows Security etc.).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and experienced working with diverse stakeholders.
- Proven ability and experience to define end to end technical solutions taking into account the enterprise architecture strategies current state environment and constraints and analyze the viability of the solution:
- Assess and analyze business strategy business requirements current/future target state business models and technology choices to evaluate solution alternatives that meet business sponsor needs.
- Conduct benefit analyses feasibility studies briefing notes and provide recommendations to management.
- Proven experience facilitating JAD sessions developing complex application conceptual logical and physical architecture with full traceability and alignment into architecture domain artifacts.
- Expertise in architecture with deep knowledge in Technical Application design implementation deployments technology strategies policies plans current and emerging architecture practices
- Demonstrated knowledge of cyber security and product management best practices
- Apply industry best practices and standards in architecture software and systems engineering design and development tools and techniques and software lifecycle methodologies.
- Seasoned in analysing systems requirements architecting designing and implementing IT solutions that conform to IT standards and best practices.
- Exceptional communication skills required to visualize depict and convey complex and nbsp;concepts to a broadly diverse audience including technical and business audiences.
- Effectively communicate and build rapport with team members stakeholders and interface groups using a variety of techniques and collaboration from initiation to closure
- Facilitates small to large group meetings for reviewing technical architecture decision making and problem solving.
- Demonstrated initiative and good judgement in seeking alternatives to resolve technical problems.

Enterprise Gating Documentation Experience
- Knowledge of or experience in Government of Ontario Information Technology Standards (GOITS) for Architecture.
- Experience in developing solution architectures using Ontario Government Enterprise Architecture methodologies and GOITS.
- Applied Data Modeling and development of solution and Program Area(s) Data Architecture into Solution Architecture.
- Developed solution according to Program Area(s) Information Architecture corresponding Information Architecture Documentation (IAD) and according to OPS standards and industry best practices.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with Information Management including Data Governance Data Quality Master Data Management Records Management.
- Creation of alignment of Solution Architecture Document to the Business Architecture Document Solution Requirements Document (SRD) and the Information Architecture Document (IAD) as per OPS standards and industry best practices ensuring vertical integration.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Development Conceptual Schemas (Application Technology Security and Data Views) of corresponding Business Architecture Documentation (BAD) and according to OPS standards and industry best practices.
- Proven ability to create Solution Architectures that directly informs and supports the elicitation of business and system requirements.
- Knowledge of or experience with Ideation including Technical Component analysis according to functional and nonfunctional requirements.
- Ability to develop and and nbsp;maintain architectural governance and controls over Solution Architecture.
- Ability to leverage reference artefacts to enable shared use and to develop Solution Architecture artefacts that align with acquired solutions/services and existing strategic IT Products.
- Familiarity with Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and related regulations and standards and nbsp;as they pertain to Business Architecture.

- Experience in making Architecture Decisions based on of current industry standards and practices particularly to automate and integrate the processes that would enable teams to build test and release products features faster (e.g such as Git CI/CD etc.)
- Knowledge of or experience in open source technologies mobile development and databases
- Handson knowledge of programming languages (Python Java JavaScript); modern JavaScriptbased technologies (Node.js React Vue etc.) Mobile development and semantic accessible languages (HTML5 CSS/SCSS).
- Designed and built complex API based solutions and transactional systems for enterprisewide solutions.
- Knowledge of complex and effective UI design accessibility web standards and design systems
- Experience with the OPS Enterprise Architecture governance process in general and with Governance Point 1 (AGP1) in particular.
- Familiarity with Privacy and Records Keeping principles and concepts as they pertain to Business Architecture.

- Familiarity with Ontario General Security Requirements GOITS 25 and Security Requirements for Cloud Services GOITS 25.21
- Expert level knowledge of applying Design Systems and best practices for developing webbased applications that meet the highest AODA compliance standards
