Role Name: Online Community Moderator
Schedule:
- Fulltime Need 3 staff to work 40 hours a week for a roster of 5pm to 9am EST MF

Job Description
As an Online Community Moderator you ll play a crucial role in maintaining a positive safe and engaging environment for a diverse global community. You ll be the guardian of community standards ensuring that usergenerated content aligns with platform guidelines while fostering meaningful interactions among members. This position offers a unique opportunity to work with cuttingedge moderation tools gain insights into internet culture and develop expertise in online community management. Responsibilities
- Monitor and review usergenerated content across various platform areas
- Enforce community guidelines fairly and consistently to maintain a positive environment
- Engage proactively with community members to encourage meaningful interactions
- Swiftly identify and remove spam inappropriate content and potential security threats
- Mediate conflicts between community members when necessary
- Work independently during night shift hours to ensure roundtheclock community oversight
- Collaborate with the team to refine moderation processes and community engagement strategies
- Compile and report on key moderation activities and community health metrics
Requirements
- Fluent in English with exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in using content management systems and online community platforms
- Experience with digital moderation tools and techniques
- Strong understanding of internet culture trends and online community dynamics
- Ability to work shift hours in a team to cover (5:00 PM to 9:00 AM EST weekdays)
- Excellent judgment critical thinking and decisionmaking skills
- Selfmotivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Adaptable and quick to learn new technologies and processes
- Passion for creating positive online experiences and fostering healthy digital communities
