What you will be doing:
- Ensure the smooth operation of the Stewarding Department maintaining established standards for a clean and organized heart of house area
- Work with Culinary and Food & Beverage Department Heads to build a culture that is driven by pride care ownership and passion for impeccable presentation and maintenance of equipment
- Work closely with Banquets to ensure that all function equipment needs are on hand and in good working condition
- Lead a preventative maintenance program by identifying and reducing high breakage/loss items through colleague awareness and ownership
- Maximize on cost control opportunities through optimal scheduling and maintenance of equipment
- Motivate lead coach and monitor the performance of stewarding team members
- Ensure the delivery of excellent service by maintaining high staff morale and team spirit
- Actively promote a safe and hazardfree work environment which included ensuring proper food handling procedures cleaning and storage of food containers use of cleaning chemicals and PPE and the timely maintenance of dishwashing equipment in all kitchens
Qualifications :
Your experience and skills include:
- Service focused personality is essential and previous Stewarding leadership experience required
- Proven ability to build and maintain good relationships with all stakeholders
- Communicate thoughts actions and opportunities clearly with strong networking skills
- Highly motivated and guestdriven with the ability to solve problems and to make timely guest service decisions
- Computer literate in Microsoft and Windows applications
- Proactive with a demonstrated eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple functions/projects while meeting deadlines
- Strong working knowledge of Hazardous Communication Sanitation and Food Safety regulations and guidelines
- Ability to work a exible schedule including weekdays weekends holiday and nights.
