Job Description
Responsibilities:
Install test and maintain fiber optic cables and equipment
Understanding of DC Power and HIgh Voltage Equipment Installations (Rectifiers Batteries FAPs etc.)
Cat5 Cat6 testing experience
Perform Fiber Optic and Copper splicing and termination
Troubleshoot and repair fiber optic network issues
Conduct fiber optic cable routing and management
Collaborate with team members to ensure project completion within deadlines
Requirements:
Mechanical knowledge for handling fiber optic cables and equipment
Electrical knowledge for working with low voltage systems
Electrical knowledge for HighVoltage systems
Familiarity with fiber optic splicing and termination techniques ribbon and loose tube
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Strong problemsolving skills to troubleshoot network issues
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and clients
Capable of reading blue print and splice schematics
Must be able to work on call for outages
One Year prior experience as a Equipment Installation Technician (DC Power/Fiber) or related field is preferred. Training will be provided for qualified candidates.
