Job Description

Electrical Technician (2nd Shift) Maple Grove Minnesota

Position Overview:
Our fulltime Electrical Technician role focuses on troubleshooting maintaining and setting up industrial machinery to ensure operational efficiency and minimal downtime. This position requires expertise in diagnosing complex electrical systems and optimizing machinery performance in a fastpaced production environment.

Signon Bonus: Offered for qualified candidates.
Pay Rate: U$2100 to U$3600 /hour (overtime available).
Shift Hours: 3:00 PM 11:00 PM (2nd Shift)

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Troubleshoot and repair industrial machinery using tools like digital multimeters megohmmeters and PLC interfaces.
  • Set up and configure new equipment including calibration wiring and integration with existing systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and optimize machinery performance to reduce downtime.
  • Install modify and maintain electrical systems including VFDs AC/DC motors and control panels.
  • Conduct building electrical tasks (e.g. conduit installation wiring light fixture replacement).
  • Collaborate with engineers to implement machinery upgrades and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Adhere to OSHA and NFPA 70E safety guidelines during all tasks.

WHAT YOULL NEED:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Education/Experience:

    • Minimum 2 years of electrical/automation schooling OR completion of an Electrical Apprenticeship.
    • 4 years of handson experience troubleshooting and setting up industrial machinery.
  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and blueprints.
    • Advanced knowledge of PLC programming ladder logic and motion control systems.
    • Experience configuring VFDs servo drives and AC/DC motor systems.
    • Ability to diagnose and resolve electrical mechanical and automation issues.
  • Preferred Qualifications:

    • Master/Journeyman Card.
    • Experience with industrial robotics CNC machines or conveyor systems.
    • Project design and implementation skills for machinery upgrades.
  • Soft Skills: Strong problemsolving communication and weekend availability.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Frequent standing climbing kneeling and working in confined spaces.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working at heights and handling repetitive tasks.
