Job Description
Mobile Health Team Inc. a staffing agency has an opening for a CT / XRay Technologist. We are looking for someone with a passion for people.
Location: Crystal Lake IL 60014
Assignment Start Date: 11/05/2024
13 weeks Nights 10hour shift 40 hours guaranteed weekly
The Estimated Weekly Total is based on working the listed hours per week and includes available stipend amounts. Please get in touch with a recruiter for full details.Performs computed tomography procedures and related techniques. Administers xradiation to produce diagnostic images for physician interpretation. Works as part of a multidisciplinary team serving on committees and participating in projects as requested. Depending on the site assigned one may also be required to perform radiographer job duties.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs diagnostic CT procedures.
- If assigned radiographer job duties also performs radiographic fluoroscopic surgical and portable radiographic exams.
- Corroborates patients clinical history with the procedure ensuring information is documented and available for use by the radiologist.
- Prepares the patient for procedures providing instructions to obtain desired results gain cooperation and minimize anxiety.
- Selects and operates imaging equipment image capture devices and accessories to successfully perform procedures.
- Positions patient to best demonstrate anatomic area of interest respecting patient ability and comfort; immobilizes patient as necessary.
- Practices aseptic technique as necessary
- Prepares and administers contrast media as appropriate to procedures performed; starts and maintains intravenous access.
- Initiates basic life support action when necessary.
- Provides patient education.
- Provides input for supply and equipment decisions and maintains control of inventory and supplies for assigned area.
- Provides practical instruction for students and partners.
- Observes universal protocol standard precautions and appropriate patient identifiers.
- Applies principles of patient safety during all aspects of procedures including assisting and transporting patients.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION
Experience:
- Must have multimodality tech (CT and XR) experience; Radiographer experience & CT experience required
- Required to perform CT Xray Fluoro Carm
- Siemens Go Top CT Scanner & Konica Xray Equipment experience preferred
- IV skills preferred
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited radiography program
Licenses Certifications and/or Registration:
- ARRT(CT) Certification required
- ARRT Radiography registration required
- ARRT Computed Tomography registration required
- WIDSPS radiographer license required
- Approved CPR or BLS certification required
EMR System: EPIC McKesson &/or PAC experience preferred
Shift: Night Shift MonThu 9p7a; may be required to alternate shifts weekends and holidays and take calls. May be asked to flex hours and overtime as necessary to provide quality patient care at assigned sites(s).
