A highly respected and wellestablished criminal law firm is seeking a seasoned Defense attorney to join its team. Known for providing expert legal representation the firm is dedicated to defending clients in complex criminal cases and is recognized for its success in both state and federal courts.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The firm is looking for an experienced Criminal Defense Attorney. Experience in federal courts is highly preferred as the role will involve representing clients in both state and federal cases.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Represent clients in criminal Defense cases particularly felony trials.
- Develop and implement legal strategies for client Defense.
- Handle cases in both state and federal courts if applicable
- Provide expert legal advice and guidance to clients.
- Prepare and manage all aspects of criminal Defense cases including investigations pleadings and court appearances.
- Negotiate with prosecutors and advocate for favourable plea deals or trial outcomes.
- Maintain thorough case documentation and communicate case updates to clients effectively.
REQUIREMENTS:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience practicing criminal Defense law
- Extensive felony trial experience is required.
- Experience in federal courts is strongly preferred.
- Strong research writing and negotiation skills
- Active license to practice law in the state of Florida.
- Ability to manage a highvolume caseload and work in a fastpaced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
