Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct thorough design reviews and propose redesigns as necessary using structural analysis software including ETABS SAFE and SAP.
- Ensure all designs meet project specifications building codes and industry standards.
- Review shop drawings to verify alignment with design intent and compliance with specifications.
- Create and modify shop drawings as required ensuring clarity and accuracy for construction teams.
- Lead BIM modeling efforts for structural components ensuring seamless integration with other disciplines.
- Coordinate with architects MEP engineers and contractors to resolve any design conflicts and promote collaboration across all project teams.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on best practices in structural engineering and design.
- Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of design calculations reports and design decisions.
- Participate in project meetings providing technical expertise and updates on project progress.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in civil or Structural Engineering (Masters preferred)
- Minimum 10 years of experience in structural engineering with a focus on building design.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software: ETABS SAFE and SAP.
- Experience with BIM software and coordination practices.
- Strong understanding of building codes industry standards and best practices in structural design.
- Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
