Job Description

Roles and responsibilities

1. Strategic Planning:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales and marketing strategies aligned with the brand's vision and business objectives.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscapes, adjusting strategies accordingly.

2. Brand Management:

  • Oversee brand positioning and ensure consistent messaging across all marketing channels and properties.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to enhance brand identity and ensure that all marketing materials reflect the brand's ethos.

3. Revenue Management:

  • Work closely with the revenue management team to optimize pricing strategies and inventory management to maximize revenue across all properties.
  • Monitor sales performance, analyze data, and adjust strategies to achieve financial targets.

4. Sales Leadership:

  • Lead and manage the sales team, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure they meet and exceed sales goals.
  • Foster a culture of high performance and accountability within the sales team.

5. Marketing Initiatives:

  • Oversee the development and execution of marketing campaigns, including digital marketing, social media, public relations, and promotional activities.
  • Coordinate marketing efforts for special events, partnerships, and collaborations to enhance visibility and attract guests.

6. Customer Relationship Management:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, travel partners, and industry stakeholders.
  • Implement strategies for customer retention and loyalty programs to enhance guest experiences and build long-term relationships.

7. Team Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with operational teams to ensure alignment between sales/marketing efforts and guest experiences.
  • Work closely with the corporate team to align strategies with overall business goals and initiatives.

8. Performance Analysis:

  • Establish KPIs to measure the effectiveness of sales and marketing strategies, reporting results to senior management.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and adjust strategies as necessary to improve outcomes.

9. Budget Management:

  • Prepare and manage the sales and marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
  • Monitor expenses and ensure that marketing initiatives deliver a strong return on investment.

10. Innovation and Trends:

  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure that Six Senses remains competitive and innovative in its marketing approach.
  • Encourage creative thinking within the team to explore new marketing avenues and initiatives.

Desired candidate profile

1. Education:

  • Degree: A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.

2. Professional Experience:

  • Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in sales and marketing within the hospitality industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (e.g., Director of Sales and Marketing, Regional Director).
  • Diverse Background: Experience in various market segments, including luxury and boutique hotels, resorts, or wellness-focused brands.

3. Core Competencies:

  • Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to develop and implement strategic sales and marketing plans that drive revenue and enhance brand presence.
  • Brand Development: Experience in brand positioning and management, with a focus on maintaining consistency and integrity across multiple properties.

4. Leadership and Management Skills:

  • Team Leadership: Exceptional leadership skills, with a track record of building, motivating, and developing high-performing sales and marketing teams.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively across departments to align sales and marketing strategies with overall business goals.

5. Financial Acumen:

  • Budget Management: Proficiency in managing budgets, analyzing financial performance, and optimizing resource allocation to maximize ROI.
  • Revenue Management: Knowledge of revenue management principles and techniques to effectively drive pricing strategies and inventory management.

6. Marketing Expertise:

  • Digital Marketing Proficiency: Strong understanding of digital marketing trends and tools, including social media, email marketing, SEO, and content marketing.
  • Innovative Campaigns: Experience in developing and executing successful marketing campaigns that resonate with target audiences.
