Job Description
Summary: The position is for a Seniorlevel Database Administrator (DBA) to provide crucial support for all SQL Server applications filling a temporary gap in the team. The role involves 24x7 support for complex systems high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) management. The DBA will support Tier 1 applications within the Bureau of Labs and Cancer Registry handling installation maintenance patch management and troubleshooting across SQL Server environments.

Responsibilities:
- Provide 24x7 support for complex SQL Server applications including HA and DR solutions.
- Install patch and maintain database management software for test and development environments.
- Monitor and support database integrity clustering replication and backups.
- Execute scripts for database object modifications and monitor database jobs and scheduled processes.
- Troubleshoot database errors backup failures and connectivity issues.
- Develop and maintain systems documentation following industry and organizational standards.
Skills/Qualifications:
- 7 years of experience in SQL Server Database Administration (SQL Server 2016 and upwards).
- Expertise in high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions.
- Experience with Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) within SQL Server.
- 3 years of experience in creating updating and maintaining systems documentation.
- Strong skills in space allocation database monitoring and capacity planning.
