Currently we are hiring Staff Nurses for a Private Nursing home in Co. Kildare Ireland.

Key Responsibilities
- As instructed by the home manager assume complete responsibility for the care of the residents.
- Utilize the computing resources at your disposal to keep track of and manage resident files on EPIC.
- Any resident illness should be reported and the nurse manager should be consulted before requesting a GP or professional visit if needed.
- Keep thorough records and make sure every resident in the nursing home has a personalized care plan. As needed resident care plans should be evaluated always according to NMBI regulations and the companys policies and procedures. Initial entries are made on assessment sheets upon resident admission and these are then imported into EPIC (Computerized Information Management System). Before the night staff handover a G.P. should be assigned to each new resident.
- Oversee and mentor junior
- Build and preserve connections with residents that support their independence and are founded on equality and respect.
Requirements
- Proof of full current registration with NMBI
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels English language ability must be such that the staff member is competent to communicate effectively with residents in relation to speaking listening reading and writing.
- Clinical Expertise in Professional area of qualification.
- Team player.
- Genuine interest in working with the relevant Resident group.
- Must provide Garda Vetting clearance in line with H.I.Q.A. requirements.
- Care for the Elderly experience / qualification.
- Positive and compassionate attitude.
- A high degree of empathy sensitivity and patience.
- A nurturing and positive can do attitude.
- The ability to follow procedures and instructions.
- A desire to use your initiative but also to work in a team.
- Excellent observational and communication skills.
- Strong time management and organisational skills.
