Food Technology Teacher Sought for Reputable Secondary School in Kingston
We are delighted to collaborate with a highlyregarded secondary school in Kingston actively seeking a dedicated and inspiring Food Technology Teacher to join their exceptional Design and Technology department. This fulltime permanent position offers a unique platform to cultivate a love for culinary arts and nutrition in young minds.
Position Overview:
The successful candidate will be instrumental in delivering a comprehensive and engaging Food Technology curriculum to students across Key Stages 3 and 4. The role entails fostering a dynamic and handson learning environment that encourages creativity practical skills development and a thorough understanding of food science and nutrition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver captivating Food Technology lessons that align with the national curriculum and the schools educational ethos.
- Create a stimulating classroom and workshop atmosphere that promotes student engagement participation and safe practices.
- Assess and monitor student progress providing constructive feedback to facilitate individual growth.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the Design and Technology department and across the school to enrich the learning experience.
- Stay abreast of current pedagogical approaches food safety guidelines and developments in food technology education.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A Bachelors degree or higher in Food Technology Home Economics or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Demonstrated experience teaching Food Technology at the secondary level.
