Job Summary:
The Junior Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for supporting the testing and quality assurance processes to ensure the delivery of highquality software products. This role involves executing test cases identifying bugs and working closely with senior QA engineers and developers to maintain software quality. The ideal candidate is detailoriented eager to learn and has a strong interest in software testing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute test cases (manual and automated) and analyze results to ensure software functionality.
- Identify document and track software defects using bugtracking tools.
- Collaborate with developers product managers and senior QA engineers to understand project requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Assist in developing test plans test cases and test scripts.
- Participate in QA meetings and provide feedback on product quality and testing processes.
- Continuously learn and improve QA skills and stay updated on testing methodologies and tools.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology Engineering or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Basic understanding of software development and QA methodologies.
- Familiarity with any programming/scripting languages is a plus (e.g. Java Python).
- Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
Preferred Skills:
- Internship experience in a software testing or QA role is a plus.
- Familiarity with test management or bugtracking tools (e.g. JIRA Bugzilla) is advantageous.
