Job Description:
- Client is seeking an experienced SQL Database Administrator (DBA) with specialized expertise in Commodity Trading and Risk Management (CTRM) systems particularly Rightangle.
- The ideal candidate will play a critical role in supporting maintaining and enhancing our CTRM platform ensuring seamless integration with various interfaces and optimizing performance for missioncritical trading activities.
- This role will be onsite at our Houston office requiring deep technical knowledge strong problemsolving skills and a commitment to operational excellence in a fastpaced trading environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Rightangle System Support:
- Provide daytoday administration and support for Rightangle focusing on optimizing system performance and uptime.
- Maintain and troubleshoot inbound/outbound interfaces and Web Services ensuring smooth data flow between Rightangle and external systems.
- Collaborate with trading risk management and IT teams to address operational issues and support evolving business needs.
Custom Code Development:
- Develop and maintain custom code in Rightangle including Attributes Deal Saving Rules Entity Actions Provisions and Auto matcher.
- Create custom reporting solutions and automate reporting processes for the business utilizing SQL Stored Procedures and other database tools.
- Ensure that custom code adheres to best practices for performance security and maintainability.
- Rightangle API and Workflow Management:
- Utilize Rightangle APIs and workflows to design and implement new functionalities or modify existing processes to enhance business operations.
- Build custom workflows to automate and streamline trading and risk management processes.
Database Development & Reporting:
- Develop and optimize SQL Stored Procedures for data extraction transformation and reporting tasks.
- Create and maintain Editable Reports in Rightangle that provide realtime insights to the business.
- Ensure database objects and reports are optimized for performance scalability and maintainability.
- Interface Management and SAP Integration:
- Provide support for multiple interfaces including those related to SAP and Nexus as part of integration and automation efforts.
- Lead and participate in integration initiatives such as the Pembina project ensuring smooth and reliable data exchange with various thirdparty systems.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement scalable secure and efficient integration strategies.
