Job Description

Under broad supervision designs and secures computer databases to store track and maintain a large volume of critical business information. Develops database models and coordinates projects.

**Candidate MUST be local to Metro Atlanta**

The Senior Middleware Administrator isresponsible for supporting all aspects of the GDOL Middleware environmentincluding but not limited to builds/deployment patching and maintenanceautomation (scripting) Project Support troubleshooting design andcertificate management. This position works closely with Network SecurityApplication Development Project Management and Linux and Microsoft OS Serveradministration teams and is responsible for all facets related directlyto or projects involving Middleware platform and infrastructure. The successfulcandidate should be highly skilled technically with the ability to adaptquickly and provide solutions to complex scenarios.

Responsibilities:

1. Performadministrator duties for IBM WebSphere Application Servers V7 V8 & V8.5 creating scriptsto automate manual tasks.

2. Build/deploy and maintainWebSphere WebLogic Tomcat and IIS environments.

3. Adhere to standardsprocesses procedure and audit compliance controls. Maintain security audit requirements for Middleware Products.

4. Design andbuild automated code deployment systems that simplify development work and makedeployments more consistent and issues predictable.

5. Performpatching and ensure security compliance

6. Leverage opensource technologies such as Jenkins Grafana etc.

  1. Provide Linux support and develop/maintain Linux/Unix shell scripts. Implement and maintain Linux/Unix security.
  2. Perform appropriate Change Management duties to comply with IT policies and procedures.
  3. Perform appropriate Incident Management duties to comply with IT policies and procedures.
  4. Report progress on a weekly basis of status on all assigned work tasks in a written report.
  5. On call support and occasional weekend onsite support. Provide L2/L3 support.
  6. Create process documentation for team and provide internal training to team members.
  7. Document complex design items through documents and whiteboard sessions.

Required Experience/Skills:

  1. 5 years experience in supporting the Production environment running on Middleware Products such as IBM WebSphere Application V7 V8.5 & 9.0 IHS and IIS.
  2. 2 years of experience in Tomcat Apache HTTP server and Oracle WebLogic
  3. 3 years of experience with installation and maintenance of software on Windows and Linux/Unix.
  4. 2 years of working experience with Jenkins pipelines (declarative scripts)
  5. 3 years experience with Windows Linux (Centos RHEL SLES) and AIX.
  6. Proficiency with shell scripts such as bash or sh.
  1. Experience with applying patches to middleware environments.
  2. Experience supporting audits and providing evidence of compliance
  3. Experience in analyzing memory leaks thread dumps and heap dumps.
  4. Proven ability to design automated CI/CD solutions for our middleware and IIS environment.
  5. Knowledge of Jenkins pipelines to deliver automated deployments and testing.
  6. Experience with creating and maintaining certificates using openssl keytool SSL protocols ciphers and other security requirements.

    Preferred Experience/Skills:

    1. Knowledge/experience working with Citrix Load Balancers and Edge servers.
    2. Knowledge/experience working with Kubernetes Docker subversion Maven and Ansible.

    3. Knowledge/experience workingwith web servicesand micro services technologies.

    1. Familiarity with IBM COTS applications like Maximo connect direct and eClient.
    2. Proficiency scripting languages such as YAML JACL JYTHON PowerShell and Python.
    3. Experience with Microsoft s Active Directory.
