Roles and responsibilities
Reporting to the Director of Talent & Culture, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Processes employee payroll accurately and on time.
- Handling payroll data, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, maintaining payroll records, and addressing employee queries.
- Maintain confidential filling system for colleagues’ files, records and documents; ensure its adherence with the company’s standards
- Maintain confidential filling system for all correspondence, policies, standards, regulations and various matters related to the Talent & Culture Department
- Follow up with the Talent & Culture Team on audit administration process to ensure that the department policies and procedures are in line with the audit standards
- Maintain and update employee details in the system
- Execute and follow up on the purchase requests of the Talent & Culture Department
- Handle all office supplies; maintain an up to date, accurate inventory of the Talent & Culture storage room
- Handle lockers’ requests, name tags, ID’s, colleagues’ letters, purchase requisitions, expense reports as necessary and when required
- Support internal projects, tracking necessary action and updating reports as the progress is made
- Assist and support in the matters of employees’ relations and engagement activities
- Work with the Talent & Culture team in the logistics of a variety of colleagues’ events and activities (i.e. departmental outings, fun days, mall trips, sports tournaments, karaoke nights, hotel beach cleanups, national day celebrations, fund raising events, sustainability /green-key team activities etc.)
- Assist in updating the Talent & Culture communication boards regularly to ensure it is complying with standards
- Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service to the colleagues and leaders
- Assist with Learning & Development functions and tasks like preparing presentations for engagement activities, communication flyers, training logistics, as required
Desired candidate profile
- Locally available in Qatar is preferred.
- The role requires proficiency in payroll software (OASYS), attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
- Previous experience in payroll and relevant education in Accounting or HR is preferred.
- Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications required
- Mature, enthusiastic and energetic with proven abilities to creatively resolve issues
- Organized, creative and professional with leadership skills
- Able to multi-task and communicate effectively
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment, inviting and championing change
- Able to effectively and positively manage challenging situations
- Must be detail oriented, and self-directed
- Able to build effective relationships with peers, colleagues and suppliers
- Minimum of 1-year work experience in a busy multi-faceted Talent and Culture environment, within an administrative role, preferably within a hotel
- University/ College education in Human Resources is an asset
- Strong Communication skills
