Job Description


St. Peters Health Partners and Anesthesia Group of Albany PC have excellent fulltime opportunities for Board Certified or Board Eligible Cardiac Anesthesiologists to practice within a wellestablished private reputable practice located in Albany New York.

Job Description:
  • Required to be ECHO Board Certified and/or have completed a Cardiac Fellowship
  • Must be willing to cover cases out of St. Peters Hospital and Samaritan Hospital campuses in Albany and Troy.
  • The Anesthesia Group of Albany PC is the largest anesthesia group in the AlbanyTroySaratoga region of Upstate New York. For over forty years the physicians and CRNAs of the Anesthesia Group of Albany have been providing compassionate care to the AlbanyTroySaratoga region.
  • St. Peters has brought on 3 new Cardiac Surgeons and needs Cardiac Anesthesiologists to support them
  • Practice setting: high volume inpatient heart center
  • Number of Operating Rooms: 30
  • Schedule: variable 81012 hour shifts
  • On call: The call rotation is 1:5 with first call every eighth night no second call.
  • Cases are primarily cardiac and vascular there is no OB or trauma.
  • Provide anesthesia care for patients undergoing cardiac surgical procedures including CABG valve replacements and other complex cardiac surgeries.
  • Average Number of Surgical Cases Per Day: Cardiac Cases per day 68 cases
  • Will NOT be required to supervise CRNAs
  • Patient demographic: primarily adult and geriatric some child
  • The physicians provide general and regional anesthesia for a variety of endoscopic cardiac orthopedic pediatric obstetric cosmetic and general surgical procedures.
  • Collaborate closely with our team of cardiac surgeons nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in preoperative evaluations and postoperative care of cardiac patients.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of anesthesia protocols and practices within the institute.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate care to patients.
  • Open to H1B visa candidates but cannot accept J1 waivers
  • Not accepting Locums candidates
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Compensation: BR50000 per year (The posted salary reflects the starting range of total compensation and does not include productivity bonuses incentives related to quality and performance extra shift incentives and other forms of cash compensation as applicable to the position. In addition providers typically receive a CME allowance and other benefits offered by their medical group employer. Please note that this salary range is provided in accordance with State law and is subject to variation due to the factors noted above.)
  • Relocation Allowance if applicable: The amount is determined by the distance they are moving from to the facility. It is a reimbursementbased system. Providers receive the amount in their contract and they can submit receipts for reimbursement up to that amount.

    Requirement description :

    • Board Eligible (within 5 years of eligibility) or Board Certified in Anesthesia REQUIRED
    • ECHO Board Certified and/or Cardiac Anesthesiology FellowshipTrained (to be complete prior to start) REQUIRED
    • Cardiac Anesthesiology FellowshipTrained HIGHLY PREFERRED
    • NY License (or willing to obtain) REQUIRED
    • BLS ACLS PALS (by time of start) REQUIRED
    *Client cannot clear local candidates within 30 miles of their institutions.*
