Job Description

Are you passionate about travel and fluent in German If so we have an exciting opportunity for you! Join our team as a GermanSpeaking Customer Service Representative for a leading cruise line project. This is a fully remote role open exclusively to candidates living in Portugal. Whether youre just starting out or have previous experience in customer service this position provides a great opportunity to grow within a fastpaced industry.

As a Customer Service Representative your role will involve being the primary contact for cruise customers and travel agents providing support with bookingrelated queries and managing pre and postbooking concerns. While there is an element of sales through crossselling and upselling the main objective is to deliver topquality customer service.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Customer Interaction (Inbound):

    • Handle incoming calls from customers and travel agents assisting with inquiries about cruise bookings destinations prices required travel documents and available services.
    • Provide detailed accurate information about cruise options itineraries and ship amenities.
    • Guide customers through the booking process and offer postbooking support to ensure a smooth enjoyable experience.
  2. Booking Support:

    • Assist customers in modifying upgrading or cancelling their reservations as needed.
    • Provide travel agents with guidance and support in managing their clients bookings offering solutions for available packages and options.
  3. Sales Assistance:

    • Recommend additional services that can improve the customers overall cruise experience such as excursions onboard packages or travel insurance.
    • Offer personalized cruise packages based on the customers preferences focusing on service and value rather than highpressure sales.
  4. PostBooking Help:

    • Assist customers with any postbooking inquiries such as payment issues travel documents or special requests like cabin preferences or dietary accommodations.
    • Resolve any postbooking concerns to ensure the customers experience is hasslefree.
  5. Issue Resolution:

    • Address and resolve any customer complaints or problems in a professional and timely manner ensuring they feel valued and supported.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to escalate and resolve more complex issues ensuring swift resolutions for the customer.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Fluency in German (C1 level or higher) with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in English for communication with internal teams.
  • Prior experience in customer service hospitality or a related field is an advantage but not requiredtraining will be provided.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to manage inquiries and resolve issues professionally.
  • Basic computer skills (e.g. familiarity with Microsoft Office and CRM systems) are helpful.
  • Ability to thrive in a fastpaced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • A customercentric approach with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
