Qualification:
We are looking for a seasoned FinOps Practitioner to help bridge the gap between business engineering and finance teams enabling evidencebased decisions that optimize cloud usage and increase business value. You will be tasked with establishing a FinOps culture across the organization demonstrating expertise in the Principles and Capabilities of the FinOps Framework. This role requires deep technical knowledge primarily in Azure and secondarily in AWS to support engineering teams in adopting cloud cost and resource optimization metrics. You will be responsible for ensuring efficient cloud resource design and usage and for leading optimization activities including workload management cost anomaly monitoring and rightsizing.
Responsibilities:
- Establish FinOps Culture: Drive a cultural shift by promoting cloud cost awareness and accountability across business engineering and finance teams.
- Cloud Cost Management: Implement and maintain cloud cost management best practices ensuring efficient use of cloud resources across the organization.
- Cloud Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in creating and maintaining cloud budgets and forecasts providing visibility into cloud expenditures for informed decisionmaking.
- Cloud Resource Optimization:
- Guide engineering teams in adopting cloud cost and resource efficiency metrics.
- Help teams architect and design systems with costefficient cloud usage in mind.
- Lead efforts in rightsizing workload management and resource optimization.
- Anomaly Monitoring: Detect and resolve cloud spending anomalies and inefficiencies through proactive monitoring.
- Collaboration with Engineering Teams: Foster collaboration between technical teams to ensure that cloud resources are used efficiently and that cost metrics are integrated into performance assessments.
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience in cloud cost management FinOps or related roles.
- Proven expertise in Azure (primary) and AWS (secondary) cloud platforms.
- Handson experience with FinOps Framework cloud cost optimization and cloud architecture.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology Finance or a related field.
