Job Description
Position Overview
Our client a midstream construction company specializing in natural gas and oil infrastructure is seeking a Project Manager to oversee critical construction projects. This position is based onsite in Abilene TX with travel required as needed. Candidates with oil and gas industry experience are strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Oversight: Manage projects from the corporate office ensuring alignment with field operations.
- Client Communication: Serve as the primary liaison with the client s project manager to address scheduling site issues extra work and permits.
- Scheduling & Coordination: Collaborate with scheduling teams to develop and maintain project timelines.
- Field Supervision: Work closely with field supervisors to ensure smooth project execution.
- Project Controls: Monitor and track progress to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget.
- Leadership: Take initiative to complete all project management tasks and provide solutions as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Project Management: Demonstrated experience in managing construction projects ideally in the oil & gas sector.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with compressors pumps and turbines used in natural gas facilities.
- Software Proficiency: Skilled in MS Excel MS Project and Word.
- Communication: Excellent writing and communication skills for drafting procedures policies and reports.
- Construction Drawings: Strong ability to interpret and analyze construction plans.
- Organizational Skills: Exceptional time management and ability to develop projectspecific plans.
- Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with field teams clients and management.
