The SocioEconomic Specialist will conduct comprehensive analyses of socioeconomic trends and policies to provide strategic insights and recommendations. This role will involve collaboration with various stakeholders including government agencies NGOs and community organizations to assess the impact of socioeconomic initiatives and develop effective strategies for sustainable development.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative research on socioeconomic indicators.
- Analyse data trends to inform policymaking and program development.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations on socioeconomic conditions.
- Collaborate with governmental and nongovernmental entities to formulate socioeconomic policies.
- Evaluate existing policies and recommend improvements based on research findings.
- Facilitate workshops and focus groups with community stakeholders.
- Present findings to stakeholders ensuring understanding and buyin for recommendations.
- Oversee socioeconomic projects from inception to completion ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Monitor project progress and impact adjusting strategies as necessary.
- Train and mentor team members and stakeholders on socioeconomic analysis and research methodologies.
- Develop toolkits and resources to support community capacity building.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Master s Degree (M.A. M.S. or MBA) or PhD in Economics Sociology Public Policy Development Studies or a related field.
Experience:
- A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in socioeconomic research and analysis.
- Proven track record of working with diverse stakeholders including government NGOs and community organizations.
- Experience in project management and policy development.
Skills:
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with proficiency in statistical analysis and research methodologies.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g. SPSS R Stata) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
