We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement and Contract Specialist to oversee and manage the procurement processes and contract negotiations within our organization. The ideal candidate will possess advanced academic qualifications (Master s degree MBA or PhD in a relevant field) and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to foster supplier relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends and opportunities for cost savings.
- Draft negotiate and finalize contracts with vendors and service providers.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and manage contract renewals.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to enhance collaboration.
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Work closely with internal departments (e.g. finance legal operations) to ensure procurement processes are efficient and compliant.
- Participate in crossdepartmental projects to support organizational objectives.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with procurement and contracts.
- Develop contingency plans to address potential supply chain disruptions.
- Assist in budget preparation and management for procurement activities.
- Analyse spending patterns and implement costsaving initiatives.
- Prepare regular reports on procurement activities savings achieved and supplier performance.
- Utilize data analysis to inform decisionmaking and improve procurement practices
- Ensure procurement activities adhere to legal ethical and regulatory standards.
