Position Overview
The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering a comprehensive and engaging Biology curriculum to students across Key Stages 3 4 and 5. The role entails fostering a stimulating and inquirybased learning environment that encourages critical thinking scientific curiosity and a deep understanding of the living world.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver inspiring Biology lessons that align with the national curriculum and the schools educational philosophy.
- Create a dynamic classroom atmosphere that promotes student engagement and participation.
- Assess and monitor student progress providing constructive feedback to facilitate individual growth.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the Science department and across the school to enrich the learning experience.
- Stay abreast of current pedagogical approaches and developments in Biology education.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A Bachelors degree or higher in Biology or a closely related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Demonstrated experience teaching Biology at the secondary level.
