Role Brief:
In this role working with a major SL Controls client your primary role will be the maintenance of rational databasesincluding both Decision Support
Systems and Online Transactional Processing.
You willprovide and ensure data availability integrity and security and perform routinedatabase administrationfunctions including installation configuration and upgrading of databases and software on variousplatforms database capacity planning proactive performance monitoring and tuning security procedureexecution backup and recovery.

Person Brief:
You must at a minimum have a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or an equivalent degree with a strong focus on database concepts and technology. A minimum of 7 years of experience in Oracle database administration is essential.
Some experience in the Pharma Life Sciences or Medical Devices manufacturing setting would be preferred but is not essential.
You should have proven experience at Senior or Lead level in a database administration role and the ability to develop and mentor less experienced individuals while also managing senior level stakeholders in other teams and functions. Exceptional communication skills and attention to detail are essential qualities for this role.
The role will be based onsite in Kilkenny so you should be living within a reasonable commute of the site of willing and able to relocate with 1 to 2 months.
You should have a valid work permit allowing you to work in Ireland or be an EU or UK citizen.
