You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Laboratory of Neuronal Communication led by Prof. Patrik Verstreken is part of the VIBKU Leuven Center for Brain & Disease Research at Gasthuisberg Campus (Leuven Belgium). We are a team of more than 30 international scientists/ admin. staff interested in understanding the molecular mechanisms of healthy synaptic function and pathogenic synaptic dysfunction in the context of neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimers and Parkinsons disease. For this aim we use classical models (fruit flies mice human induced pluripotent stem cells…) as well as innovative and underexplored models (hibernation in golden hamsters).
We are seeking a motivated and detailoriented individual to join our team as a (junior) Laboratory Technician. In this role you will work closely with postdoctoral researchers and PhD students to conduct both animal (mice hamsters) and cell culture (mouse primary neurons human iPSCderived neurons) experiments assist in data collection and analysis as well as support laboratory management. You will collaborate with team members to optimize experimental workflows troubleshoot problems and achieve project objectives.
