Job Description
- Participate in management decisions on the Companys quality & food safety policies objectives and practices
- Planning implementing and maintaining product quality improvement programs and encouraging and motivate personnel to contribute and actively participate in those programs
- Oversee all the quality assurance eg. manpower and product quality improvement planning to meet the company goals
- Preparing the Company to meet new regulations and quality standards that the Company may choose to implement
- Monitor and motivate staff performance and develop or upgrade their skills and knowledge
- Responsible to see that the Company complies with voluntary quality and food safety standards and maintain continued certification of the quality and food safety systems implemented by the Company
- Initiate the productivity and quality improvement projects together with other departments
- Formulate and be in charge of a system for the recording evaluation and processing of customer complaints on product quality and safety
- To ensure the reliability and functionality of laboratories
- Responsible for all aspects of quality control activities of raw materials inline and finished products
- Implement approved quality standards and specifications
- To ensure the implementation and upkeep of quality management and food safety system
- To initiate a comprehensive internal and external audit programs in compliance with company requirements
- To assist in improving the food safety and technical knowledge of staffs distributors and customers in relation to products
- Oversee Halal application and certification
Requirements
- Minimum with Degree in Food Science Chemistry or Microbiology
- At least 5 years working experience in Quality Management in the Food Manufacturing environment
- Preferably from HACCP and ISO 9001 certified manufacturing
- Able to manage departmental operations in good order and leads the team to achieve the company goals
- Strong leadership and high degree of initiative
- Strong analytical and coordinating skills in problem solving
