Job Description
- Conduct routine inspections of fire protection systems including fire alarms sprinkler systems extinguishers and emergency lighting to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on fire protection equipment as needed to ensure optimal functionality and reliability.
- Respond promptly to fire alarms and emergency situations assisting with evacuations and implementing fire safety procedures as required.
- Conduct fire safety training sessions for hotel staff educating them on proper procedures for fire prevention evacuation and emergency response.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections maintenance activities and training sessions in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with external contractors and vendors as necessary for specialized inspections repairs or installations.
- Stay informed about updates to fire safety codes regulations and industry best practices and ensure that the hotel remains in compliance with relevant standards.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in fire protection or a related field preferred.
- Prior experience working with fire protection systems and equipment preferably in a hospitality or similar environment.
- Strong understanding of fire safety principles codes and regulations with the ability to interpret and apply relevant standards effectively.
- Excellent problemsolving skills and mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with fire protection systems.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to convey fire safety information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work evenings weekends and holidays as needed and to respond to emergencies outside of regular working hours.
