Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and detaildriven Purchasing Officer to manage the procurement process for all hotel supplies ensuring topquality products and costefficiency. This role supports strategic purchasing activities and vendor management while ensuring the timely delivery of goods and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and participate in inventory stocktakes for hotel stores and outlets ensuring accurate data and stock control.
  • Manage all purchase orders for food beverage general goods and other required supplies.
  • Analyze demand supply and pricing trends to maintain a strong knowledge of products and achieve costefficient purchasing.
  • Adhere to and enforce the hotels established purchasing policies and procedures.
  • Identify evaluate and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best prices and quality.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and address any supply chain issues.
  • Conduct regular reviews of supplier performance and analyze product categories including seafood fruit and vegetables to ensure cost competitiveness.
  • Support themed events and wine promotions by collaborating with hotel outlets.
  • Maintain uptodate costing for all wine lists and ensure quoted prices and supplier codes are accurate within the hotels purchasing system.
  • Prepare endofmonth schedules for stocktakes and generate reports for general stores and inventory analysis.
  • Follow up on any purchasing queries and assist with the sourcing of noninventory and CAPEX items.

Qualifications :

  • Previous experience in purchasing or procurement preferably within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to conduct thorough inventory and supplier analysis.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to build and maintain effective supplier relationships.
  • Familiarity with purchasing systems and procedures with a focus on efficiency and cost management.
  • A proactive problemsolving attitude and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
