JOB DESCRIPTION
Short Description:
Aging and Disability Services Division (ADSD) will be working on the modernization of ADSD data systems to provide for electronic application enrollment case management and billing to serve Nevadas most vulnerable populations. This project is funded through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) with the goal of modernization and integration of ADSD data systems to reduce barriers and improve access to services streamline and create efficient workflows reduce duplication in data entry and document collection eliminate paper and manual processes and improve data sharing across ADSD programs.
A Project Manager if needed to manage and to modernize the internally developed applications.
The Project Manager will
- Direct and manage the project for the planning and implementation of the ADSD data modernization from beginning to end.
- Develop fullscale project plans and associated communications documents in accordance with PMO standard templates.
- Estimate resources and participants needed to achieve the project goals perform rootcause analysis on gaps identify waste and work with the project team to drive sustainable corrective action. They will Identify and resolve issues and conflict within the project team and program/project leads of project dependencies and critical path concerns.
- Coordinate and plan scheduled project timelines and milestones (using appropriate tools) with software vendor ADSD sister agencies as applicable developing and delivering progress reports proposals requirements documents and presentations.
- Direct the activities of a Business Process Analyst that will support this project.
Must be completed by 11/2026 not to exceed ARPA funding period expenditure.
Scope of Work:
The incumbent will work with the identified the IT Application Development team programs program leadership and IT manager to evaluate and implement technical solutions to business needs.
For the data modernization project the incumbent will be responsible for the following tasks (not all inclusive):
- Leads the project team to identify potential internally developed systems build project scopes goals and deliverables for implementation of the data systems modernization of identified programs with established partners and vendors.
- For this data modernization implementation tasks will include but are not limited to:
- Drive planning estimating and facilitating the coordination for designing configuring testing training analysis and project implementation with Vendor(s) Vendor(s) staff ADSD Information Technology Office ADSD Program Project Lead and ADSD program subject matter experts and all stakeholders.
- Manage scope schedule and budget objectives.
- Identify assess and mitigate all project issues and risks.
- Facilitate meetings and confirm appropriate documentation is developed and stored in project repository.
- Manage change management and deliverable management process assign deliverables as appropriate and validate appropriate processes and approvals are being captured.
- Lead the project team in successfully completing user acceptance regression unit and endtoend testing with internal and external stakeholders.
- Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
- Develop status reports to internal and external stakeholders weekly following established PMO guidelines.
Other tasks will include but are not limited to:
- Maintain all Project Management documents related to work activities and hand it over to the dev team after completion of project.
- Ability to think clearly and respond quickly to critical situations.
- Develop presentations for executive leadership.
