Job Title: SAW Flux Development Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated SAW Flux Development Engineer to join our R&D team. This role involves testing and documenting newly developed Submerged Arc Welding (SAW) flux consumables conducting root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions (CAPA) and developing innovative SAW flux solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding materials analytical skills for cost reduction and experience in process optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
Testing and Documentation:
- Conduct comprehensive testing of newly developed SAW flux consumables.
- Document testing procedures results and improvements to ensure compliance and quality.
Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective Actions (CAPA):
- Identify and analyze problems associated with SAW welding processes.
- Implement and monitor corrective action plans to address identified issues.
Development of New SAW Fluxes:
- Research and develop new formulations for SAW fluxes to enhance performance and application.
Raw Material Analysis:
- Analyze raw materials used in SAW fluxes to identify cost reduction opportunities without compromising quality.
Process Standardization:
- Study and standardize process parameters to optimize welding efficiency and effectiveness.
Data Compilation and Analysis:
- Compile and analyze data related to SAW consumables to support product development and decisionmaking.
Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Procedure Qualification Records (PQR):
- Prepare and update WPS and PQR documentation for new developments ensuring alignment with industry standards.
Research Paper Development:
- Write research papers for presentation at welding seminars and conferences contributing to the body of knowledge in the field.
Technical Literature Preparation:
- Provide data and insights for the preparation of technical literature on SAW consumables to support marketing and sales efforts.
Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs):
- Prepare and update R&D related SOPs including those for R&D operations and RCA processes.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Materials Science Metallurgical Engineering or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience in welding consumables development and testing.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills particularly in RCA and CAPA methodologies.
- Familiarity with SAW processes and materials.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and presentations.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a teamoriented environment.
- Proficient in data analysis software and tools.
