We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Java Developer with experience in Kafka for an exciting project with a client based in Nuremberg. This position offers the flexibility of 80% remote work, making it ideal for professionals looking for a balance between onsite collaboration and remote productivity.

Project Details:

• Start Date: November 1st, 2024 (earlier availability preferred)
• Duration: 12 months (extension possible)
• Location: 80% remote (the end customer is in Nuremberg)
• Language Requirement: Proficiency in German is essential

Key Responsibilities:

As a Lead Java Developer, you will play a critical role in the conception and further development of online services. Your tasks will include:

1. Conception and Development: You will be responsible for designing and enhancing online services, ensuring they meet the client’s needs and are built on robust, scalable architecture.

2. Technical Management: You will lead and manage development teams, providing guidance and support to ensure projects are delivered on time and to a high standard.

3. Troubleshooting and Documentation: Your role will also involve diagnosing and resolving technical issues, as well as maintaining thorough documentation to facilitate knowledge sharing and project continuity.

Desired candidate profile

Candidate Profile:

We are looking for candidates who can confidently assess their experience on a scale from 1 to 10 in the following areas:

• Lead Java Development: Demonstrated experience in leading Java development projects, with a strong understanding of best practices in software engineering.

• Kafka: Proficiency in Kafka for building and managing real-time data pipelines and streaming applications.

• AWS/S3: Familiarity with AWS services, particularly S3, for storage and data management.

• Kubernetes: Experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration, ensuring efficient deployment and scaling of applications.

• CI/CD and GitHub: Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment processes, with hands-on experience using GitHub for version control and collaboration.
