Key Responsibilities

As a Java Developer at VirtuThinko, you will play a crucial role in shaping our technology landscape. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• User Requirement Analysis: You will analyze user requirements and provide accurate time estimates for implementation. Understanding the needs of our users is essential for delivering effective solutions.

• Development and Deployment: You will be responsible for developing, testing, and deploying changes within IBM WebSphere J2EE and other platforms. Your expertise in Java and J2EE will be critical as you contribute to our software development lifecycle.

• Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Identifying and resolving system issues will be a key part of your role. You will ensure that our systems operate smoothly and efficiently, maintaining high-quality outcomes.

• Quality Assurance Support: Supporting quality assurance tasks is essential. You will engage in regression testing, assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) preparation, and conduct code reviews to uphold the standards of our development processes.

• Collaboration and Support: You will collaborate closely with our EMS Analysis Team to provide third-level support for reported issues. Your teamwork will help us address challenges swiftly and effectively.

• Mentorship and Research: As a senior developer, you will have the opportunity to mentor junior developers, sharing your knowledge and fostering their growth. Additionally, engaging in research and development (R&D) will allow you to explore and adopt new technologies that can benefit our projects.

Desired candidate profile

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates should meet the following qualifications:

• Experience: A minimum of 4 years of experience in Java, J2EE, CSS, JavaScript, and HTML is required. Your technical proficiency will be key to your success.

• Educational Background: A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is essential. This academic foundation will support your practical experience.

• Certifications: Certifications such as Oracle Certified Java Programmer (OCJP) and Oracle Certified Web Component Developer (OCWCD) are preferred and will enhance your candidacy.

• Additional Skills: Familiarity with AWS and microservices architecture is a plus, as these technologies are increasingly relevant in our projects.
