Job Description
On behalf of the hiring company that is in the agrochemical space we seek suitable personnel to join them as Laboratory Operations Manager or Specialist.
Responsibilities
- Laboratory Setup: Oversee the planning design and construction of new laboratory facilities. Coordinate with architects engineers and contractors to ensure that the laboratory meets all regulatory requirements and scientific needs.
- Equipment Procurement: Select and purchase laboratory equipment ensuring that it is appropriate for the research being conducted and meets all safety standards.
- Safety Management: Develop and implement policies to ensure compliance with laboratory safety regulations and standards. Conduct regular audits manage hazardous waste disposal and enforce safety protocols.
- Team Management: Recruit and train laboratory staff address complaints and resolve conflicts to maintain a positive working environment. Organize training programs to enhance the professional development of the research team.
- Laboratory Operations: Manage daily laboratory functions including scheduling resource allocation and ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures.
- Financial Management: Develop and manage laboratory budgets including procurement and equipment costs.

Requirements
- A Diploma or Bachelor s degree or higher in Biochemistry Chemistry or related fields with more than 2 years of relevant working experience in a research laboratory setting.
- Proven records in laboratory management and rich experience in project management.
- Other qualification certificate of safety management strong knowledge of management policies and laboratory safety regulations in Singapore.
- Possess excellent communication organizational coordination problemsolving and conflictresolving skills and team spirit. Able to manage various emergencies in the laboratory.
- Proficient in MS Offices such as Word Excel and PowerPoint.
- Good command in Chinese and Mandarin is a must as the job holder will report to China HQ directly
- Comfortable in working in a startup environment
