Premises Manager Opportunity at a Leading Secondary School in Sutton
We are working with a wellrespected secondary school in Sutton that is seeking a highly organized and experienced Premises Manager to join their team. This is a fulltime permanent position offering a competitive salary and the opportunity to contribute to a thriving educational environment.
Position Overview
The Premises Manager will be responsible for the overall management and maintenance of the schools buildings and grounds. This role is essential in ensuring a safe clean and efficient learning environment for students staff and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daytoday operations of the premises including maintenance security cleaning and health & safety.
- Manage and supervise a team of premises staff including caretakers and cleaners.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
- Manage budgets and contracts related to premises maintenance and services.
- Oversee the planning and execution of refurbishment and improvement projects.
- Act as a key point of contact for staff contractors and external agencies.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience in premises management ideally within an educational setting.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent organizational communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
- Experience in budget management and contract negotiation.
