Job Description

Premises Manager Opportunity at a Leading Secondary School in Sutton

We are working with a wellrespected secondary school in Sutton that is seeking a highly organized and experienced Premises Manager to join their team. This is a fulltime permanent position offering a competitive salary and the opportunity to contribute to a thriving educational environment.

Position Overview

The Premises Manager will be responsible for the overall management and maintenance of the schools buildings and grounds. This role is essential in ensuring a safe clean and efficient learning environment for students staff and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daytoday operations of the premises including maintenance security cleaning and health & safety.
  • Manage and supervise a team of premises staff including caretakers and cleaners.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Manage budgets and contracts related to premises maintenance and services.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of refurbishment and improvement projects.
  • Act as a key point of contact for staff contractors and external agencies.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Proven experience in premises management ideally within an educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent organizational communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
  • Experience in budget management and contract negotiation.
