Tasks
About the Role
We are seeking a driven Junior Broker to join our dynamic sales trading team in Amsterdam. As a broker your primary responsibility will be to build and manage a client portfolio offering tailored solutions to support clients in achieving their environmental compliance and sustainability targets.
Youll gain handson experience by working closely with senior traders & brokers and participating in ongoing training programs ensuring that your skills and market knowledge grow alongside your responsibilities. Your role will also involve developing new business through direct prospecting cold calling and client meetings.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and expand your client portfolio through proactive prospecting and networking with a strong focus on commodities.
- Engage with clients through phone online platforms and facetoface meetings to understand their business needs and identify trading opportunities.
- Support and execute trades ensuring seamless communication and client satisfaction.
- Provide realtime pricing information and market insights to clients through various channels.
- Keep up to date with market news developments and new trading products.
- Achieve personal revenue (PnL) targets while contributing to the overall growth of the company.
- Promote OTC Flows services to increase market share and solidify client relationships.
Requirements
What Were Looking For
- Proven experience as a broker preferably in commodities or a related financial field.
- Bachelors degree in Business Economics Finance or a related discipline.
- You are energized by prospecting cold calling and client acquisition and dont get drained by these activities.
- An interest in environmental commodities.
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills and entrepreneurial spirit.
- A commercial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fastpaced environment.
- Fluency in any European language and excellent command of English.
