Pls note: Mgr /Team may start with virtual IVs but they will follow up with IN PERSON interviews if there is interest. Pls make sure your candidate is aware of the 2nd IV that will be required if there is interest.
Duration Expected: 18 24 months *the 12/31/24 date is based on end date of current PO go by the expected duration provided.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Virginia Department of Elections (ELECT) is seeking aProject Manager for the implementation of the Statewide Voter RegistrationSystem (SVRS). SVRS is a statewide voter registration and election managementsystem. This is a highrisk project and will require strict adherence to therequirements in this posting. It is preferred that the PM work a hybridschedule with minimum of three days per week in the ELECT offices in RichmondVA however this is open for discussion.
SVRS is a highrisk project with high visibility andsignificant complexity therefore the SVRS Project Manager will be required towork in a fastpaced potentially stressful environment. Relevant experience insimilar environments should be clearly documented in the applicant s resume.
SVRS is currently under contract and undergoing development.The duties of the SVRS Project Manager will include:
Daily interaction with stakeholders projectteam members and ELECT staff.
Attendance at virtual and inperson projectmeetings daily.
Management of project performance metrics andrecording of data in CTP.
Adhere to requirements of Commonwealth ProjectManagement Standard.
Coordination with SVRS contractor projectmanagement team for all aspects of project performance.
Work in conjunction with members of the ELECTSVRS project team.
Facilitate communication between SVRS contractorPM team and ELECT staff.
Oversee coordination of SVRS project calendar.
Conduct briefings on SVRS project status tointernal and external audiences including the Interagency Oversight Committee.
The required education and experience for this position areas follows:
Active Project Management Institute ProjectManagement Professional (PMP) Certification. Please upload a copy in Vector or they will not be considered.
Documented risk management experience.
Successful completion of a Category 1 or 2Commonwealth of Virginia project of NAM or more or completion of a nonCOVproject with a value greater than NA0M as PM of record. (pls make sure their exp with this is HIGHLIGHTED on their resume)
Bachelor s degree is appropriate field of studyor equivalent work experience.
Familiarization with the Commonwealth TechnologyPortfolio highly desirable.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft OfficeSuite.
Excellent clientfacing and internalcommunications skills written and verbal.
Solid organizational skills and attention todetail.
