Job Description
Waldo County General Hospital and Pen Bay Medical Center is seeking a skilled Anesthesiologist to join their team in providing comprehensive anesthesia care in a communityfocused hospital setting. Come experience the beauty of Coastal Maine why serving our regional practice.
Job Description:
- Candidates will work in a very collegial atmosphere working alongside great support staff and seasoned providers. Join us and you will also find supportive collaborative colleagues; strong patient/provider relationships; comprehensive resources and advanced technologies.
- Day shift: 7:00 AM 4:00 PM night shift home call: 4:00 PM 7:00 AM weekend 24hour home call
- Night float available for one week at a time if interested
- Call ratio: approximately once every 4 weeks for fulltime staff
- Average surgical cases per day: 1012
- Average pain management cases: 0
- Supervision of CRNAs required care team model solo on call
- Trauma Level III
- 4 fulltime Anesthesiologists in practice
- No responsibility for preparing the anesthesia cart
- Patient age demographic: 1 year and older
- Required procedures: General surgical cases (adult & pediatric) minor nerve blocks IV regional anesthesia plexus anesthesia spinal anesthesia epidural anesthesia regional anesthesia obstetrical cases
- Pain management procedures: acute cases
- Required insertions: central line arterial line
- Responsible for evaluation and management of acute volume/BP issues
- Documentation System/EMR: Epic
- Accepting Locums candidates at Job #53598 and Locum to Perm candidates at Job #53604
- Not accepting visa candidates

Requirement description :
ALL OF THE FOLLOWING ARE REQUIRED AT NAME CLEAR UNLESS NOTED OTHERWISE.
- Board Certified in Anesthesiology REQUIRED
- ME License (or willing to obtain) REQUIRED
- BLS ACLS PALS (or willing to obtain) REQUIRED
- DEA (or able to obtain) REQUIRED
- Able to perform adult and pediatric general surgical cases minor nerve blocks IV regional anesthesia plexus anesthesia spinal anesthesia epidural anesthesia regional anesthesia obstetrical cases central line arterial line and evaluation and management of acute volume/BP issues. (Note in Experience field) REQUIRED
- Clean Malpractice PREFERRED
