As an ESL Teacher you ll thrive in a collaborative and innovative environment delivering specialized instruction to English Language Learners (ELL) in alignment with state and school standards. You ll be instrumental in creating a positive inclusive classroom environment while helping students reach their academic and language goals in a dynamic resultsdriven setting.
Role at a Glance:
- Design and implement effective instructional plans for ELL students.
- Cultivate a safe and supportive learning environment that encourages student engagement.
- Use behavior management techniques to promote an effective learning space.
- Deliver personalized and smallgroup instruction to cater to diverse learning needs.
- Regularly assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies to promote language growth.
- Work alongside general education teachers to integrate English language development across all subjects.
Requirements
- A valid Illinois PEL with ESL endorsement.
- Proven experience as an ESL Teacher or a similar role.
- Background working with students from various linguistic and cultural backgrounds.
- A bachelor s degree in education or a related field; a Masters in TESOL or related field is a plus.
