Job Description
- Continuously evaluate student progress and tailor instruction to meet their evolving needs.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate English language support into all academic areas.
- Implement clear and effective behavioral expectations to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
- Foster a welcoming and inclusive classroom that encourages students to feel safe valued and motivated to learn.
- Develop and deliver engaging lessons that align with school and state standards to advance English language acquisition.
- Provide targeted personalized instruction to support English Language Learners (ELL) in both oneonone and smallgroup settings.
Requirements
- Demonstrated background as an ESL Teacher or in a similar capacity.
- A bachelor s degree from an accredited college or university is mandatory.
- Possess a current Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with an ESL endorsement.
- Previous experience engaging with students from varied linguistic and cultural communities.
