The role
As a Network Engineer at Spirit you will be playing a pivotal role in supporting and improving the quality
efficiency and success of internal and external infrastructure. We are seeking an individual with a unique
blend of common sense a strong technical understanding and the versatility to work seamlessly as part
of a team or autonomously. Your role goes beyond a conventional networking engineer role; you ll be
entrusted with solving complex problems within client environments emphasising efficiency and
stability. Collaborating closely with technical and nontechnical stakeholders alike you will ensure that
our managed services not only meet but exceed client expectations contributing to the ongoing
improvement and investment in our services.
Key responsibilities
Provide level 2 technical support and troubleshooting for networkrelated issues
Receive escalated customer calls and emails clarifying requirements in a timely manner
Promptly address escalated customer calls and emails by clarifying their requirements.
Diagnose and resolve network performance problems in internal and client environments
Ensure customer Service Level Agreements (SLA) and customer expectations are met
Respond promptly to service outages and incidents implementing effective remediation
measures to minimise downtime.
Document troubleshooting procedures and solutions for future reference and knowledge
sharing.
Manage and execute network configuration changes upgrades and deployments
Cultivate strong relationships with clients by providing top tier service and support
Support both WAN and LAN Infrastructure for client and internal environments
Collaborate with data centre operations teams to coordinate network upgrades migrations
capacity planning and incident management.
Design implement and manage complex network infrastructure solutions for both internal
and external client environments.
Assist with the stability security and scalability of systems through proactive monitoring and
maintenance.
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to integrate networking solutions with other IT
systems and applications.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior networking engineers and other technical
resources within the organisation.
Adhere to the Spirit policies and procedures and work with teams to iterate and develop said
policies and procedures.
Requirements
SELECTION CRITERIA
In addition to the attributes outlined in the position description above the successful candidate will
possess the following:
Essential Skills & Experience
At least 3 years of technical experience in a medium or enterprise environment
Experience supporting multiple domain environments
Experience supporting M365 and Cloud computing and maintaining industry best practices
Experience supporting English speaking countries
Experience with supporting and managing data center networks.
Familiarity with data center infrastructure including servers storage and virtualization
technologies.
Experience with industry leading networking infrastructure (Meraki Fortinet Sophos Juniper
Cisco Watchguard Mikrotik Aruba Rukus)
Industry Qualifications
Cisco CCNP
VMware Certified Technical Associate
Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE)
Microsoft AZ140 (highly regarded)
ITIL Certification (highly regarded)
