Job Description
Hill International is seeking a highly experienced Senior Planning Engineer to join our team in Doha Qatar. As a global leader in project management and construction consulting services Hill International offers a dynamic and challenging work environment with opportunities for professional growth and development.
The Senior Planning Engineer will be responsible for developing monitoring and updating project schedules for various construction projects in Qatar. This individual will work closely with project managers engineers and other team members to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6 software
Monitor project progress and identify potential delays or issues
Analyze and report on project schedule performance
Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely completion of project milestones
Conduct schedule risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies
Provide guidance and support to junior planning engineers
Participate in project meetings and provide input on project planning and scheduling
Prepare progress reports for clients and stakeholders
Ensure compliance with project schedule requirements and contractual obligations
Continuously improve and streamline planning processes and procedures
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field
Minimum of 10 years of experience in project planning and scheduling preferably in the construction industry
Proficient in Primavera P6 software
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Experience in managing and mentoring junior planning engineers
Knowledge of construction methodologies and techniques
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Fluency in English both written and spoken
