Job Description

Level 1 Desktop Support Engineer Moorabbin Australia

We re on the lookout for a skilled and enthusiastic Level 1 Desktop Support Engineer to join our team in Moorabbin! Youll be supporting the employees of a wellknown global brand in the food industry ensuring their technical needs are met efficiently and effectively. This is a oneyear contract role with the possibility of extension offering a fantastic opportunity to work with cuttingedge technologies while developing your career in IT support.

What you ll do:

  • Be the first point of contact for employees needing help with their desktops laptops mobile devices or other peripherals.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues on both Windows and Mac platforms as well as mobile devices running iOS and Android.
  • Set up and configure desktops laptops printers mobile phones and other peripherals.
  • Provide easytofollow guidance for users installing new applications.
  • Document technical issues and resolutions in our internal system and escalate complex issues to the next level of support when necessary.
  • Assist with asset management office moves and onsite support ensuring devices are inventoried and functioning smoothly.
  • Offer "White Glove" VIP support to key users providing fast troubleshooting proactive support and tailored training on new tools.
  • Work closely with other teams following instructions to handle smart hands and eyes tasks for network devices and IMAC processes.


Requirements

What we re looking for:

  • Technical expertise: A Bachelor s degree in Computer Science (or related field) and certifications like CompTIA A or MCP.
  • Handson experience: At least 18 months of experience in IT support with a solid grasp of troubleshooting.
  • Problemsolving skills: You love taking on challenges and finding creative solutions to technical issues.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal and customer service skills are a must.
  • Flexibility: You re adaptable ready to handle a dynamic work environment and available for occasional offhours or weekend shifts.

Please note that we cannot offer visa sponsorship for this role so candidates must already have legal authorization to work in Australia.
