JOB DESCRIPTION FOR A VIRTUAL ASSISTANT/BOOKKEEPER
Responsibilities as a Virtual Assistant/Bookkeeper:
Record financial transactions and maintain accurate financial records.
Reconcile bank accounts credit card statements and other financial documents.
Prepare and process invoices receipts and payments.
Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Prepare and review financial reports including balance sheets and profit/loss statements.
Assist with tax preparation and compliance by ensuring financial records are uptodate.
Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure timely payments and accurate record keeping.
Use accounting software such as QuickBooks Xero or similar tools.
Provide general administrative support including managing emails scheduling appointments and handling correspondence.
Organize and manage digital files ensuring easy access and proper filing.
Assist with data entry and database management.
Perform research tasks and prepare reports or presentations as required.
Help coordinate meetings prepare agendas and take meeting notes.
Handle client communication and manage calendars.
Qualifications as a Virtual Assistant/Bookkeeper:
Minimum of 2 to 3 years proven AU experience as a Bookkeeper and/or Virtual Assistant.
Strong knowledge of bookkeeping practices and financial management.
Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks Xero or similar.
Experience in job pack software and payroll processing.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite Google Workspace and other virtual collaboration tools.
Basic understanding of tax regulations and compliance (preferred but not required).
Certification in bookkeeping/accounting (preferred but not required).
