Job Description
- Production management:
- Oversee daily operations of the production section to ensure efficient production of highquality products As per customer specifications.
- Plan schedule and monitor production activities to meet production targets ensuring optimal use of resources such as materials machines and labor.
- Ensure production runs smoothly aligning with agreed production timelines and work closely with the planning department for timely deliveries.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any production issues that arise minimizing downtime and ensuring continuity of operations.
- Quality & Food Safety Compliance
- Ensure that all production activities comply with food safety standards (e.g. HACCP ISO 22000 FSSC Halal).
- Collaborate with the quality assurance department to implement monitor and maintain highquality standards in products.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure all equipment products and personnel meet food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Team Leadership & Safety
- Lead coach and manage a team of operators and technicians in the production section to achieve performance goals.
- Foster a culture of safety ensuring adherence to workplace safety protocols and procedures.
- Conduct regular safety training and awareness programs for team members focusing on occupational safety and equipment handling.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations (e.g. OSHA local safety laws) and promptly address any safety hazards.
- Crossfunctional Communication
- Act as the main point of contact between the production section and other departments such as Quality Assurance Maintenance Supply Chain and Planning.
- Facilitate effective communication to ensure smooth coordination between production activities and other business functions.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure preventive and corrective maintenance is carried out in a timely manner minimizing disruptions to production.
- Continuous Improvement & Innovation
- Identify areas for improvement within the production processes and implement lean manufacturing principles to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Stay up to date with the latest technology and innovations in plastic injection molding proposing improvements to machinery processes and workflows.
- Conduct performance analyses and suggest actionable strategies to improve efficiency reduce costs and enhance product quality.
- Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare regular reports on production performance downtime quality issues and safety incidents.
- Ensure all productionrelated documentation is maintained including production logs food safety records and safety reports.
Requirements
- Education : Bachelor s degree in engineering Industrial Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a similar role within a plastic injection molding environment.
- Technical Skills:
- Indepth knowledge of plastic injection molding processes and machinery.
- Familiar with ERP systems ( SAP is preferable)
- Familiarity with food safety standards (HACCP ISO 22000) and occupational safety Standards.
- Proficiency in lean manufacturing Six Sigma or similar methodologies.
- Leadership Skills : Strong leadership and team management abilities with experience in building and motivating teams.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective crossfunctional collaboration.
- ProblemSolving: Strong analytical and problemsolving skills to handle operational challenges swiftly and efficiently.
- Attention to Detail: High attention to detail to ensure compliance with quality food safety and safety regulations.
- Adaptability: Ability to work in a fastpaced environment with strict deadlines and changing priorities.
