The Engineering Technician II for Semiconductor will focus on PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) tools specifically chambers and vacuum systems. This role involves handson technical support for high vacuum equipment and related robotics providing critical support to customers in the field. The technician will troubleshoot issues conduct installations and maintain advanced thin film processing tools directly contributing to the manufacturing of cuttingedge hard disks and memory devices.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor inspect setup calibrate and maintain semiconductor equipment in the field
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and implement solutions
  • Provide oncall technical support as needed
  • Accurately document maintenance activities and submit field service reports
  • Participate in the installation of equipment at customer sites
  • Train and assist other technicians in their duties
  • Ensure compliance with customer policies and safety protocols

Qualifications

  • 23 years of experience with PVD or semiconductor vacuum equipment
  • Associates degree required; Bachelors degree in engineering preferred
  • Experience with multichamber cluster systems and robotics is highly preferred
  • Must have a valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to lift approximately 50 lbs
  • Willingness to travel domestically (up to 25%) and internationally for training

Ability to work independently following 36 months of on the job training 5. Physical Capability: Capability to lift approximately 50 lbs work in cleanroom environments and withstand physically demanding tasks associated with the role. 6. Bachelors Degree in Engineering: A Bachelors degree in engineering preferably related to semiconductor technology or a relevant field. Nice to Have 7. MultiChamber Cluster Systems and Robotics Experience: Prior experience in handling multichamber cluster systems and robotics within the semiconductor industry. Nice to Have 8. PLC and Software Applications Proficiency: Experience working with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and additional software applications related to semiconductor equipment. Nice to Have 9. Bilingual Communication Skills: Proficiency in Japanese and English languages for effective communication especially if interacting with CanonAnelva Japan employees. Nice to Have 9. Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.
