Skills

  • At least three years of experience in public accounting
  • Stable work history
  • Knowledge of laws regulations standards and practices (including GAAP and GAAS)
  • Experience with QuickBooks Desktop and Online
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office particularly Excel and Word
  • Familiarity with Caseware and Datasnipper
  • CPA certification is a plus
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

  • Plan lead and execute assurance engagements (compilations reviews and audits)
  • Analyze and assess financial statements and internal controls
  • Identify areas of risk and recommend improvements
  • Supervise train and mentor junior team members providing constructive feedback
  • Handle and prepare complex transactions and work with clients on technical matters
  • Ensure compliance with laws regulations standards and practices
  • Foster client relationships to ensure timely and effective information gathering and resolution
  • Perform other jobrelated duties as necessary

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years of prior experience in public accounting
  • Stable work history
  • Proven knowledge of GAAP and GAAS
  • Experience with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with Caseware and Datasnipper preferred
  • CPA certification is desirable but not mandatory
